So 10 free credits ≈ one photo plus eight remixes, or five photos. The app blocks a new photo when you drop below 2 - and tells you.

Where your photos go
Unlike our other apps, Hot Take can’t say “nothing leaves your device.” To write a caption it sends the photo to an AI provider that analyzes it and returns takes. It uses Sign in with Apple and a server-side credit ledger to count what you use.
It does not sell your photos, train on them, or keep them longer than caching needs.
FAQ
Is it mean?
Only as mean as you ask for. The heat scale runs from Mild to Wild and you set it before every batch - nothing lands by accident. Roast mode exists, but you have to go and get it.
Who sees my photos?
A photo is sent to our AI provider only when you ask for takes on it; photos you never caption never leave your device. The provider analyzes the image and returns the takes. We do not sell your photos, train on them, or keep them longer than caching needs.
What’s a credit?
A credit is one billable operation. A new photo costs 2 - one to analyze the image, one to write the takes. A remix of a photo you have already used costs 1. A cache hit, where you ask for something that has been generated before, costs nothing. You start with 10 free credits.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription billed through your Apple account, and you can cancel it any time in your Apple account settings. It stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Credit packs are one-time purchases and never expire.
I subscribed on another device and Pro isn’t showing up. Now what?
Open your plan in the app and tap Restore Purchases. A subscription belongs to your Apple account rather than to one phone, so restoring asks Apple what that account owns and puts Pro back. Two things worth checking first: that you’re signed into the same Apple ID you bought it on, and that you’ve signed in with Apple inside Hot Take - your credits live on that account, not on the device.
If Restore says there’s nothing to restore and you’re sure there is, use the Contact support link on that same pane. It carries your support code, which is what we need to find your ledger and put it right by hand.
